WALES 50+ CRICKET CONSTITUTION

1. Objective is to promote cricket amongst players aged 50 years and over.

2. An A.G.M shall be held in the calendar year of the season just completed. To elect Officers for the forthcoming season, to discuss amendments to the constitution and any other business deemed appropriate by the outgoing Committee. Any proposed amendments must he lodged in writing with the Secretary at least fourteen (14) days prior to the meeting.

3. Election of Officers.

The following officers shall he elected annually:

(i) Chairman.
(ii) Secretary/Treasurer.
(iii) Captain (The Captain to elect his own Vice-captain).

4. The general committee shall consist of the elected officers plus two other members to be elected. The Committee shall have the power to co-opt other members as necessary.

5. Nominations for official positions shall be made in writing to the Secretary at least 14 days prior to the A.G. M.

6. Election of Captain shall be by ballot and only players who played in the County Championship shall he eligible to vote.

7. The Selection Committee shall consist of Chairman, Captain and Vice-captain.

8. Team Sweaters will be available for purchase after a player has played in four (4) Championship matches.

9. Any matters to he raised at an A.G.M. shall he lodged in writing with the Secretary at least 14 days prior to the meeting.

As our regional groups now appear to he settled, a number of Counties have suggested we play each other on the same day the following season. This will mean just a change of date.
