1. You must ensure that your club
has paid its membership subscription to both the Welsh Cricket
Association and the ECB. These payments should have been made to the
Hon. Treasurer of the WCA. Failure to do this will inevitably result in
expulsion from both competitions.
2. Entry is only open to bona tide
junior sections of clubs, NOT for either:
(a) teams specifically formed for
these competitions
(b) teams including one or more
players who do not normally play their club cricket for the entrant
club.
3. Age limits must be strictly
adhered to as follows:
Under 13 before 1st September
2006.
Under 15’s before 1st September 2006.
Any use of an over age player,
whether unintentional or not, will result in expulsion from both
competitions.
4. Closing dates of rounds must be
strictly adhered to, unless the junior competition organiser has agreed
a previous extension.
7. Helmets must be worn in
compliance with the ECB safety guidelines.
8. The Laws of Cricket shall apply
with the following exceptions:
(a) The pitch shall be 21 yards in
length (U13). Or 22 yards (U15).
(b) The ball shall weigh 4.75
ounces (U13) or 51/2 (U15).
(c) The stumps shall be 27 inches
above the ground and 8 inches wide or U15 28" x 9".
(d) Matches shall consist of one
innings per side.
(e) Each innings shall be a
maximum of 20 overs in duration.
(f ) No bowler shall bowl more
than four overs in a match.
(g) When a batsman reaches or
passes the personal score of 30 runs (U13) and 50 runs (U15), they must
retire and will not be allowed to return.
(h) No fielder, except the
wicketkeeper, shall be allowed to field nearer than 11 yards (U13) or 8
yards (U15), measured from the middle stump, except behind the wicket on
the off side.

Results.
(a) The team scoring the most runs
in an innings shall be the winner.
(b) In the event of the scores of
each team being equal the winner shall be determined as follows:
The team that has taken the
greater number of wickets.
If still equal, the side with the
higher score at the end of 19 overs.
If still equal, the score at the
end of 18 overs, 17 overs, etc.
If still equal, 5 players shall be
nominated to bowl alternatively at the wickets from the bowler’s end and
the team scoring the most hits shall be the winner. In the event of the
number of hits being equal the above 5 bowlers shall be nominated to
bowl alternatively in a sudden death bowl-out.
(c) In the event of a
rain-curtailed match, the match can be rearranged, if, prior to
the match, a reserve date has been agreed which falls
before the
deadline date of that round. If weather permits, the winner can be
decided by a bowl-out as defined above. If this is not possible then the
winner shall be decided by the toss of a coin.
(d) Any club not having played a
round by the cut off date will not
proceed any further in the competition.
(e) Any exceptions, including
problems arising from bad weather, will require clearance from the
Competition Organiser.
(f ) If one side has not made a
reasonable attempt to play by the cut off, the other will proceed by
default.
