Aberystwyth repeated their success of 2006 by retaining the League Championship.  However, a change in the rules meant that Aberystwyth’s huge points lead was not sufficient to guarantee the Championship before the final match.  Cancelled or abandoned matches are not considered in the final placings so that Rhayader, despite being over 100 points in arrears could have been champions as they had a staggering eight fixtures cancelled or abandoned in this very wet season.  In the vent, Aberystwyth triumphed and took the Championship deservedly.   The side making most progress in 2007 was the UWA Commoners team, ably led by Huw Williams.  Commoners took over third slot from Talybont who slumped to sixth place, following the loss of several players.  Fourth and fifth places were taken by Aberystwyth 2nds and Aberaeron respectively.

The Knock-Out Final, rained off at the end of the 2006 season was won by Aberystwyth on May Day Bank Holiday in 2007 but once again the 2007 final was spoilt by rain.  Aberystwyth again were competing in the final, this time against Dolgellau.

In 2008 the abandonment of the Sunday league has led to the addition of Tywyn and Dolgellau to the Championship.  Many games will be played on Sundays and, once again, the KO competition will become defunct.

The Sunday League

Lampeter’s switch back to the Championship left only four teams in the competition, each playing three games against the other teams. In the event, Dolgellau retained their title, with Aberystwyth runners up.

Sadly, Aberaeron’s withdrawal from this competition had led to it’s abandonment for 2008.

 Junior Cricket

The inclement weather in 2007 completely devastated the junior competitions.  It is hoped to operate competitions at Under 11 and Under 15 in 2008.
